Today is "GivingTuesday" and I am sharing my work as a primary self-funded diaper bank serving mothers/infants/families in the Stafford/Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania areas primarily.
Did you know that even with the existence of anti-poverty social programs such as WIC, CHIP and Medicaid, families today still may have difficulty with providing basic care needs for their child(ren).
One of those basic care needs is the provision diapers, an entity that is not covered entity under the aformentioned programs, and has been shown to influence enrollment and absenteeism within early childhood education programs.
Material hardship in the form of diaper need, combined with family
stress can put a child at risk for childhood developmental delay(s) and poor health outcomes.
