Good Morning Community Supporters!
As the year comes to close, I want to say thank you for your continued support and encouragement in growing and making this community one that is rooted in love, advocacy, support, and maternal health equity.
The year of 2025 has been full of transitions that not only validated the purpose of my work, but also stretched me in ways that only fostered and developed my skills and apathy as a clinician.

Below are some celebratory wins for us a community and supporter of Occupational Transitions/Ground & Root Pelvic Floor Therapy::

Presented on “Emerging Practices: Women’s Health” to the UAB Department of Occupational Therapy Program

Fresh 48: First bath and head wash
As an Occupational Therapist working in a very niche market, I’ve been humbled by the opportunity to mentor students and therapists looking to transition into Women’s Health, as well as have had the privilege of seeing them launch their own successful business. Shout out to A Cup of OT!
In my effort to continue supporting the growing educational needs of those subscribed to my blog and/or who follow me on social media, next year's blog will have a different layout that will give insight into the activities that’s shaping and guiding my work as a Pelvic Floor Occupational Therapist and Maternal Health Advocate. Sections of each blog post will include:
Pelvic Power: Tips for supporting bowel, bladder, and sexual health
Well Read: Highlighting book(s) I’ve read for the month
Good Eats: Healthy recipes for weekly meal prep

So what’s next for Occupational Transitions and Ground & Root Pelvic Therapy?
Stayed tuned to see!
With gratitude,
Elle
