About Me

I am La’ Shandra “Elle” Holmes-Russell, MSOT, OTR/L, CYT, CEIM, a board certified and licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Virginia.

I am owner and operator of Occupational Transitions, LLC, a mobile clinic practice serving women and infants in the Woodbridge, Stafford, and Fredericksburg, VA area.

I am an HBCU graduate from THE Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, AL and a 2019 graduate of Shenandoah University's Masters of Occupational Therapy.

I am  passionate about partnering with families  in order to collaboratively identify therapeutic interventions that not only maximize childhood developmental outcomes, but those that will support and strengthen familial bonding and relationships.

It is my held belief that “relationship is the organizing factor in which all development occurs” for both mother and baby. And that every child and family deserves an "exceptional bright beginning".

This held belief has been instrumental in guiding my professional development to include obtaining certifications as an Herman & Wallace Level 1 Pelvic Floor Therapist, Educator of Infant Massage, Hatha and Postnatal Yoga Instructor, Pregnancy & Postpartum Corrective Core Exercise Specialist,  and Early Interventionist (Birth-3yrs).

In addition, I serve as a volunteer Breastfeeding Support Group Facilitator with BCNF as part of my education and training as a Pathway 3  International Board Certified Lactation Consultant aspirant.
